Richardson Decorating was established in 1992 by Guy Richardson and has grown steadily since that date, producing a skilled and stable workforce who have provided a high standard of quality work. This in turn has been rewarded with high recommendations both in the private and commercial sector resulting in the clinching of many large, quality contracts. On January 1st 2003 the business changed status and became Richardson Decorating Contractors Ltd.

Richardson Decorating continues to receive personal recommendations initiated by our regular customers. All enquiries are followed up personally.The Company believes in the personal aspect of maintaining a good working relationship with all clients and by providing a high quality of work. This has ensured that Richardson Decorating Contractors has been winning many contracts from the commercial sector, most recently Hampshire County Council and Gosport Borough Council. We currently employ over forty full-time employees and an office team to support the workforce. This includes two full-time carpenters, which provides us with the ability to deal with small repairs and maintenance on site. The quality of every job depends on our employees being knowledgeable in all aspects of the work, being suitably trained and being motivated on each new contract. We also have a good sub-contractor supply chain. All staff have the opportunity for career progression and development within the Company - this is something we place much prominence on.
The internal Company progression has built an enthusiastic and motivated team. Richardson Decorating Contractors firmly believes in the investment of employing apprentices in the painting and decorating profession. It has shown over and over that our investment produces substantial returns in providing loyal, conscientious, hardworking and motivated young men and women. A Training Plan is in place to ensure all staff receive regular up-to-date training so that personal progression can be achieved. It also ensures that all new Health & Safety issues are implemented with immediate effect so that all staff are fully conversant.
We are able to provide staff with comprehensive training in a number of associated areas. Certified First Aid training is compulsory for all permanent employees. The PASMA and IPAF Tower and Plant equipment training is also given to the majority of employees.
Company policy is that all foremen and operatives should be in possession of a CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) Card and help with training is given to assist with gaining the required level of skills to achieve this. Currently 100% of personnel hold a CSCS card in line with their current skill level and ability. Our site management staff all hold SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certificates.

Public Liability Insurance £10,000,000.00 and Employers Liability Insurance £10,000,000.00.
